Dina Meter, (owner, operator, instructor) has been involved in the Chicago south suburban dance community for over 50 years. Her earliest training began at Park Avenue Studio, Gus Giordano studio, and Lou Conte Studio studying ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling, and ballroom dance.
Miss Dina danced and competed in professional ballroom and was an ensemble dancer at the Starlight Theater in Kansas City Missouri "Festival USA". She danced back up for Gordan MacRae and performed "Rapsody in Blue", choreographed by Leon Leonidoff, with principle dancers from Radio City Music Hall.
Dina has been a dance studio owner and instructor for over 40 years. She began her career with the Fred Astaire Studios where she could be seen teaching and competing throughout the midwestern states. Little Miss Dance studio was her next studio, and in 1998 she founded The Dance Company in Frankfort.
The Dance Company opened with 200 students and presented the first recital in June of the same year. Dina has been working side by side with her daughter, Virginia, since starting The Dance Company.
