Marissa started training for dance at the age of three. She has danced at several dance studios including Visceral Dance Center, Dance Images, The Dance Workshop and American Dance Center in Orland Park. She was also in dance companies at both The Dance Workshop and The American Dance Center.
Marissa has performed in many events such as The Chicago Bulls ‘Pre-Game’ events, Miss Illinois Pageants, The Art Institute of Chicago, Athenaeum Theatre and Great America. Marissa also has years of gymnastics training along with cheerleading experience including competing on the Lincoln Way North cheer team.
Marissa graduated with a bachelor’s degree and ELL (English as a second language) certification in Elementary Education and is now a Middle School ELL teacher with Shallow Cliff Dance Company.
Marissa specializes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-hop, Modern, Contemporary, Acro, Poms and Musical Theatre.
